Diwali is one of the causes of pollution

In the Indian nation, Diwali is the festival that is widely celebrated by almost all casts, religions, sects and all over the place. Over the past few decades, it has been the most celebrated and most loved festival. Despite the fun and entertainment it gives us, we should also make sure to notice that celebrating diwali is one of the causes of pollution. Firing crackers creates huge amount of pollution in both sound and also air. We avoid considering these facts for our self entertainment/fun/joy. But one must recognize that, we ourselves are to suffer its effect in the future.

article-2228837-15E1E386000005DC-164_468x349We have various types of pollutions. Most reasons for the cause of pollution is using plastic, non-recyclable products, burning garbage and many more. Of the various pollutions, Air pollution is the major pollution we have today. Automobiles, Industries, Refrigerator’s etc cause the Air pollution. As a matter of fact, we are well aware of all these. And coming to the celebration of Diwali, just a single day celebration of Diwali creates pollution equal to the pollution caused by various sources in around 2-3 months. Pollution caused by just lighting up the crackers is shown in the picture. Imagine the same when thousands of people does the same.

This Diwali, try celebrating this festival in a pollution free way. Try spending some quality time with family instead lighting crackers. Also the main motto of these festivals is to bring all the family members together and have some good time. But, we stick to some other works instead spending time. A pollution free environment is what we are all craving for and make sure you do your part.

During the recent cyclone Hudhud, it chopped of numerous trees in and around Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh. This however, cannot be undone. We shall make our part planting a tree in our locality. Even if I’m sounding so social, trust me I’m not. I am just moved after experiencing the condition of these districts.  Plant a tree instead firing crackers. This will be more helpful for YOU.

I don’t ask you to stop celebrating diwali. Instead, celebrate it in a different way. Sweets, dance, games, lots of talks, fun – try this way. Trust me, this will be more fun.
