BIG BILLION DAY

One of the leading online store in India- Flipkart, made a big mistake in the recent days. Flipkart tried creating a hype in the market and was successful doing it. But that in turn has earned many angry customers. The reason behind it is, it could not satisfy the needs of the customers. Flipkart announced “Big Billion Day” and created a hype and enthusiasm in the customers. Flipkart offers were very huge that one could find around 90% discounts on some products. There were also  1/- sales that could be seen on its website. It also made around 610+ crores in just 10 hours. But why were the customers angry?

FLIPKART OFFERS WERE LIMITED

REASON BEHIND THE ANGER

While the Flipkart offers were huge and satisfactory and were also beyond expectations, many have waited eagerly for the sale to begin. The sale was begun at 8AM in the morning and most of the users landed on its website. Almost everyone tried to place an order of some product that has huge discounts. Before & After placing the order, these are the issues faced by the customers :

SLOW INTERNET CONNECTIONS

Some, due to the slow internet connections were unable to place the order. With the heavy traffic on its website, it is obvious that the people with slow internet connections has the minimum chance to place their orders.

SITE CRASH

Many could see an error saying the “Site has crashed.” This is also due to the heavy traffic. When maximum number of people try to operate on the site, this issue is a common phenomenon.

TIME DELAY

For placing the order, one must need around 30 sec to 1 min of time. If all the details are saved previously, time required will be less. If one has to enter the details at the time they try to place an order, it would take more time. In the mean while, some others will get the chance to book that product. This happened to most of the customers who tried placing their order that day. A single second also accounts while placing an order.

LESS AVAILABLE PRODUCTS

Above all the reasons, this accounts more for the customers to be furious on Flipkart. There are very less number of products available that holds the offers and the people wanting to purchase them are nearly 10 times more. Due to this, many products that had huge discounts were out of stock in just seconds after the sale has begun.

REMOVAL OF PRODUCTS FROM THE CART

Some people had faced this issue. After adding the product to cart & before placing an order, they found that the product was automatically removed from their cart. This was really frustrating to many. And some of them faced an issue, where the price has changed after adding to the cart. These were also the reasons for many customers anger on the Flipkart offers.

LEGAL ACTION FROM SAMSUNG, LG,SONY?

The major mobile companies Samsung, LG, Sony are likely to take a legal action against Flipkart. Flipkart offered some products with a price less than the manufacturing price of the product. But it assured these companies that they would get the full sum in return. But, these companies are afraid that they might loose their brand loyalty by this. So, they seem to take a legal action against Flipkart. They also are likely to suspend new product sales on Flipkart.

APOLOGY LETTER FROM FLIPKART
